Registered as Udumbanchola Taluk West Cooperative Bank Limited on 24.12.1976 and started operations on 17.01.1977 and got a license from Reserve Bank of India on 07.03.1987 and later renamed as Kattappana Urban Co-operative Bank Ltd , one of the leading Urban Bank in Kerala. It is functioning as a Licenced Urban Co-operative Bank and our motto is to promote the weaker sections of the common people including industrial labourers, agricultural labourers, Small and Medium traders, Salaried persons, Small and Marginal Farmers, etc in our area of operation by extending Financial help. We are very proud to say that our Bank is able to fulfil the expectations of our customers and our strength is emerged from the Dedicated Professional employees which gives the time-tested quality and innovative excellence. The Present Chaiman of the Bank Is Adv. E M Augusthy Ex MLA. His experience in the Cooperative sector is more than 30 years and he is leading our Bank for the last 25 years as our Hon. Chairman. His contribution towards the growth of the Bank is valuable and we always remembering him with Gratitude. The first and present, Managing Director of our Bank is Sri. Muraleedharan T, who has 42 years’ experience in Federal Bank. During the short period of his tenure, we have achieved all the parameters of the Bank with good margin ie, Better position for CRAR, Low Net NPA, Increase in Capital, Mobilisation of Deposits, Advances etc. Now our Area of Operation are Idukki and Udumbanchola Taluks of Idukki District.
